Blackstone LaunchPad at UCC hosts a range of events throughout the year. Please find below a list of events planned for Semester 1 of the 2017-18 Academic Year. Unless otherwise indicated, all of these events will take place in the Creative Zone, which is located on Q Floor of the Boole Library.

Title: Business Idea Generation Challenge (in association with Cork University Business School, IGNITE and Bank of Ireland)

Title: Startup Programme (in association with IGNITE and Bank of Ireland)
Dates: Tuesdays (October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31, November 7 and 14)

Title: One Day Case Challenge for Engineering and CUBS students (in association with ESB Networks)

This event is for 2nd and 3rd Year Undergraduate students in UCC’s School of Engineering and Cork University Business School (CUBS). Each team will be made up of one engineering student and one CUBS student.

This is a fast paced event that aims to test a full range of engineering, financial and team working skills. The event is designed to encourage teams to apply their knowledge to develop innovative, creative and commercially focused solutions to real life challenges.

Participants will be given a case study to review over the course of the day and they will then be asked to pitch their solution to an evaluation panel.

Following the event four students will be chosen to represent UCC at the ESB Inter Colleges Challenge, which takes place in Dublin on November 2-3 in the Irish Management Institute, Sandyford.
